Extrusion Support Equipment — E40U

Safer, Smarter Die Cleaning Systems

Our die cleaning system is designed to support extrusion operations by efficiently cleaning dies so they can be returned to production quickly and safely — a safer alternative to traditional caustic cleaning methods.

Built around safety and efficiency

Traditional die cleaning often required operators to lower dies into chemical tanks, creating unnecessary safety risks. Our system modernizes that process with controlled operation and flexible handling options. Dies can be moved through the system automatically or manually, depending on production requirements and operator preference.

At the center of the system is a 1,500-gallon mix tank that prepares the cleaning solution before filling the cleaning tanks. A typical batch takes approximately one hour to produce, with performance controlled through temperature and concentration. Operating at approximately 185°F, the system delivers optimal cleaning performance while maintaining process consistency.

Each cleaning tank operates independently, allowing multiple dies to run on different schedules. Once the cleaning cycle is complete, the system automatically transitions into rinse cycles to remove any remaining residue. Fresh water is introduced through the second rinse tank, ensuring cleaner rinse water and a more effective final cleaning process.

Advanced water management

The system continuously manages water quality by monitoring metal contamination levels and cycling water as needed. Water is circulated for approximately 25 minutes, while the rinse system uses a backfill design that helps maintain cleaner water in the final rinse stage.

Unlike many cleaning systems, our design is engineered to operate without solids, helping reduce maintenance requirements and maintain system performance over time.

A large-capacity waste tank provides additional holding capacity and operational flexibility. Stainless steel waste tank options are available for customers seeking enhanced durability and corrosion resistance.

Engineered for long-term performance

What sets our system apart is its robust construction. Built with durability in mind, the system is designed to withstand years of industrial use while maintaining reliable performance. Customers benefit from a stronger, sturdier design and a longer service life compared to lighter-duty alternatives. Operators can easily position dies directly on the integrated support bars, simplifying loading and unloading procedures.

Every system is tested with water before shipment to verify operation and performance. Typical installation requires only three to four days, allowing customers to begin realizing the benefits quickly.
